One of his favorite sayings is “If you take care of the small things, the big things take care of themselves.” Never has this been truer than when it comes to taking the steps necessary to ensure that our personnel have the absolute best of everything we can provide so they can do their jobs in the most professional manner possible.
He and his wife, Tanyia Stevens Tregre, reside in LaPlace, LA and have two children, Jasmine and Jared.
Sheriff Tregre was honored by the Louisiana NAACP with its 2023 Power of Influence Award. Recipients are selected for their work to uplift people of color across many fields of endeavor while devoting their life to promoting social justice.
